A heat pump pool heater only requires energy to operate a compressor and a fan motor, using low amperage in the process.
The ElectroHeat works like a reversed air conditioner, heating water instead of cooling air.ElectroHeat produces up to five times more heat energy than the electrical power it consumes.. This means that for every 1 kW of electricity consumed, ElectroHeat produces 5 kW of heat into the pool water. Using power consumption in kW / hr, you can work out the approximate heating costs.
